Submit A Guest Post

With already 100 videos being posted via My Autism My Voice and My Youtube Channel, I have had a lot of time to reflect on the future of the blog. With this in mind I am looking to expand my blog to share other people's perspectives about autism.

If you are interested in submitting a guest post you can email me at kerrymagro@gmail.com along with the following information...

1. The title of the post
2. A short bio about yourself (5-7 sentences)
3. Your post (Please try to keep within 1000 words if possible. Also due to security reasons I can only take guests posts which are posted within the body of the email. I won't be able to open attachments.)

Optional: If you have a photo you would like included and a URL where I can find it online please feel free to include that as well!

BONUS: If anyone has any interest in sharing a video blog (example here) on my blog please if you haven't already done so post the video to Youtube and share the link via my email above!

(Note: I will review each post and let you know via email whether or not it will be posted via My Autism My Voice. Please also note that as much as I would like to post each of your posts that this may not be possible and I have the right as the founder of My Autism My Voice to reject any post that I don't see fulfilling the standards of this blog. I will however try my best to see as many posts as possible go up.)

Thanks all and I look forward to reading your posts in the future!

  1. Lying, thinking
    Last night
How to find my soul a home
    Where water is not thirsty
And bread loaf is not stone
I came up with one thing
    And I don't believe I'm wrong
    That nobody,
    But nobody
Can make it out here alone.

    Alone, all alone
    Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

    There are some millionaires
    With money they can't use
Their wives run round like banshees
    Their children sing the blues
    They've got expensive doctors
To cure their hearts of stone.
    But nobody
    No, nobody
Can make it out here alone.

    Alone, all alone
    Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

    Now if you listen closely
I'll tell you what I know
    Storm clouds are gathering
    The wind is gonna blow
The race of man is suffering
And I can hear the moan,
    'Cause nobody,
    But nobody
Can make it out here alone.

    Alone, all alone
    Nobody, but nobody
Can make it out here alone.

  3. I just found Kerry today.. I saw the Autism Speaks thread about him and clicked on his blog. I am a fan! I have a son who is 17 years old and autistic. My son Dylan is so talented with his drawing and he loves to make animation on the computer. I was so excited to see your graduation blog. I read it to my son. I always tell him. He may have autism but AUTISM doesn't have HIM.

He has one more year in high school and he attends Kern Valley Regional Center in Bakersfield, for classes to help deal with his autism.

He is a straight A student. He is IEP classes, but takes a few general classes. He has come so far since he was 4. I knew he was autistic by researching. A mother does more research than the FBI when it comes to her child. It wasnt until he was 13 we received a diagnosis from Stanford Medical Center.

I have referred him to your blog for inspiration and guidance on how to create awareness for Autism.

    Kerry you are a Godsend!

    Thank you for being you!
