It Could Happen To You: A Response Supporting Same-Sex Marriage

I know in the past I have specifically focused on autism advocacy and awareness on this blog but today I wanted to discuss another topic...Same-Sex Marriage. I know that this is a very heated topic in Congress right now but about 3 days ago there was a video done by Shane Bitney Crone called "It Could Happen To You" which discusses a tragic story that occurred involving him and his engaged lover Tom Bridegroom.

To avoid spoilers I encourage you all to watch Shane's video above for more information. What I will leave you with though from this video is my own personal opinion. I believe that Same-Sex Marriage should be passed in Congress as with this we could move just another step closer to equality for all. Today, President Barack Obama also personally came out about his beliefs that Same-Sex couples should be allowed to marry as well.

I think a common goal all of us want to achieve is happiness in our lives. I hope that The U.S. will take a long look at this topic and strive for #EqualLoveEqualRights for everyone.
