Highlight Video: Carly Fleischmann on ABC

Amazing! Carly Fleischmann is a 16 year old girl with autism who is nonverbal but still communicates in so many other different ways. ABC did a 10 minute video on her inspirational story. If I learned anything from Carly in this video is that we have so much we still need to learn about autism. Carly and her father, Arthur Fleischmann wrote a book based on her daughter called "Carly's Voice: Breaking Through Autism" which will come out on March 27th of this year!

Carly is also on a mission. There is a petition going on through the web to get The Ellen Degeneres show, Dr. OZ, Kelly Live, The View and Dr. Phil to put on the first ever all Autism spectrum-friendly show for Autism awareness month. There is already 15,000 signatures and I encourage you all to sign the petition here: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/autism-friendly-talk-show-day-for-autism-awareness/

Carly also as an advocate for autism does a great deal of work to help others through her laptop (which is explained more in the video). I encourage you all to learn a little bit more about her by following her through these social media websites:

And without further ado...here's Carly's amazing story!
